MODX

MODX is a web content management platform. Put simply, it is about running websites, apps and data on servers you do not have to maintain.

It makes the most sense for developers and businesses of every size. They also list Cloud Data Services, Content, Professional Services and Web Hosting, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small product team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

MODX is based in Dallas, Texas. More on modx.com.

Before you commit, look at pricing predictability, support quality, and migration help. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

The facts above come from public company records. The score will come from people like you. Used MODX? Rate it.
