These rules are the product. Every page on Revaw is built on them, and this page is updated monthly with the current review counts and the ranking formula.
How ranking works
A product's position in its category is computed from three inputs only: verified reviews (the average across five criteria: ease of use, features, value for money, customer support, likelihood to recommend), recency (reviews from the last 12 months weigh more), and depth (reviews with structured answers and screenshots weigh more). No paid input exists in the formula. Sponsored placements sit outside the ranked list, are labeled Sponsored, and are capped at two per category.
Who can review
Every reviewer is verified by work email, LinkedIn, or a screenshot of the logged-in product. Unverified reviews are never shown. Vendors cannot review their own products or competitors. Revaw employees and contractors never write reviews.
Incentives
When a review was incentivized, the incentive is disclosed on the review itself (for example, "Reviewer received a 10 USD charity donation"). Vendors may fund review collection but never pick which customers are invited: Revaw invites the whole list.
Vendors and reviews
Vendors can reply to any review. They cannot edit or remove one. A vendor may flag a review for a policy breach; a human moderator decides within 5 business days and the decision is logged.
Your data
Your identity leaves Revaw only when you click "Contact me" on a product. Intent data sold to vendors is aggregated (company size, industry, stage), never named.
