advection

Advection is a global video delivery network offering Windows Media,Silverlight, Flash, with the broadest features for live and on-demand. Put simply, it is about running websites, apps and data on servers you do not have to maintain.

It makes the most sense for developers and businesses of every size. Alongside the main category they mention Cloud Data Services, Content Delivery Network, Video, Video on Demand and Video Streaming. As a small product team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

advection is based in Stamford, Connecticut and founded in 2002. More on advection.net.
