NSGIS

NSGIS is an IT company that renders geospatial system integration consultation, database creation, cloud hosting and geocortex deployments. In practice that means storing and querying application data reliably.

Who is it for? Mostly developers and data teams. Alongside the main category they mention Consulting, Database and Geospatial. As a small product team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

NSGIS is based in Los Angeles, California and founded in 2005. More on nsgis.com.

Our checklist for this category: managed options, backups, and scaling costs. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with NSGIS, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
