thinkster

thinkster is web development based firm that deals with the teaching of building apps from scratch using the latest frameworks, & platforms. The job it does: designing and building iOS and Android apps.

The natural audience is businesses launching or rebuilding an app. They also list Education, Knowledge Management and Training, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

thinkster is based in San Francisco, California. More on thinkster.io.

Things worth asking about: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
