BeagleBoard

BeagleBoard promotes and motivates open-source development on OMAP-based systems. In practice that means solving a specific business problem with software.

Who is it for? Mostly teams in its space. They also list Education, Hardware, Linux, Open Source and Robotics, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

BeagleBoard is based in Richardson, Texas. More on beagleboard.org.

Things worth asking about: pricing, support, and how it fits with the tools you already use. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
