EditionGuard

EditionGuard is a software that offes secure and affordable way to sell eBooks with online solutions. The job it does: running an online store from catalog to checkout.

The natural audience is retailers and brands. They also list E-Commerce and Publishing, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a very small product team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

EditionGuard is based in Wilmington, Delaware. Their site is editionguard.com.

Things worth asking about: transaction fees, themes, and app ecosystem. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
