Root

Root is an e-learning platform that provides software development services. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. Related areas on their profile: E-Learning and Education. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Root is based in Remote, Oregon. Their site is rootlearn.com.

Before you commit, look at portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with Root, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
