New York Nerds

New York Nerds specializes in IT security solutions, data recovery, web hosting, software and hardware services. The job it does: assessing, monitoring and responding to security threats on your behalf.

It makes the most sense for companies without a full security team. They also list Network Security and Web Hosting, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

New York Nerds is based in Little Neck, New York and around since 1994. Their site is nynerds.com.

Things worth asking about: response times, what is included in monitoring, and reporting. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
