Switchback

Switchback, LLC develops user-friendly websites using an open-source CMS, catering to small to medium-sized businesses. The job it does: designing and building websites and web apps.

It makes the most sense for companies that need a site that works and ranks. Related areas on their profile: Web Design and Web Development. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Switchback is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Their site is switchbackcms.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio, CMS choice, and who maintains it afterwards. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
