PHP Controls

PHP Controls provides a range of PHP-based web components, servers, tools and themes for the web design services. The job it does: designing and building websites and web apps.

It makes the most sense for companies that need a site that works and ranks. Alongside the main category they mention Developer Tools, Graphic Design, UX Design and Web Development. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

PHP Controls is based in Oakland, California. You can read more at phpcontrols.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio, CMS choice, and who maintains it afterwards. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
