Archon

Archon provides software, web design, marketing, and IT consulting services. The job it does: designing and building websites and web apps.

Who is it for? Mostly companies that need a site that works and ranks. They also list Consulting, Marketing and Web Design, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Archon is based in Nutley, New Jersey. Their site is archoninc.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio, CMS choice, and who maintains it afterwards. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.

If you have worked with Archon, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
