ByteLight

ByteLight provides LED integrated indoor positioning services for smartphones helping retailers enhance their customer engagement. The job it does: designing and building iOS and Android apps.

The natural audience is businesses launching or rebuilding an app. Alongside the main category they mention Indoor Positioning, Location Based Services, Mobile, Mobile Apps and Navigation. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

ByteLight is based in Boston, Massachusetts. Their site is bytelight.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
