Bots

Bots is a software development company that specializes in creating custom chatbots and live chat applications. In practice that means answering common questions automatically and routing the rest to people.

It makes the most sense for support teams with high volume. They also list Artificial Intelligence (AI), Chatbot, Machine Learning and Robotics, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small product team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Bots is based in San Diego, California. More on bots-inc.com.

Things worth asking about: training sources, accuracy on your own docs, and escalation paths. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
