Backdraft

Backdraft connects city officials, local businesses and residents to create a rewarding experience that re-engages local economies. Put simply, it is about designing and building iOS and Android apps.

Who is it for? Mostly businesses launching or rebuilding an app. They also list Mobile, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Backdraft is based in Akron, Ohio. Their site is backdraft.us.

Before you commit, look at portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.

If you have worked with Backdraft, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
