BarkingMad

BarkingMad is an animal welfare website helping shelters and the public to responsibly rehome the animals in their care around South Africa. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

Who is it for? Mostly companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Communities and Pet. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

BarkingMad is based in Kanab, Utah. More on barkingmad.co.za.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.

If you have worked with BarkingMad, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
