Binary Star

Binary Star provides PC-based equipment that offers interactive experiences at an affordable price for museums and edutainment venues. In practice that means building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Virtual Reality, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Binary Star is based in Vienna, Virginia and around since 1993. More on binarystarltd.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with Binary Star, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
