MentorTek

MentorTek is a technology consulting firm that specializes in web services, mobile Apps, embedded systems, and distributed systems. In practice that means designing and building iOS and Android apps.

Who is it for? Mostly businesses launching or rebuilding an app. They also list Consulting, Embedded Systems, Mobile Apps and Virtualization, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

MentorTek is based in Mabank, Texas and founded in 1997. Their site is mentortek.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
