Alphaworks

Alphaworks provides IT solutions such as applications, security, deployment and infrastructure. Put simply, it is about handling IT tickets, assets and changes in an organized way.

Who is it for? Mostly IT departments. They also list IT Infrastructure and Network Security, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Alphaworks is based in Plano, Texas and founded in 1999. You can read more at alphaworksnow.com.

Before you commit, look at self-service portal, asset tracking, and automation. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
