Overview
KiteReaders is an internet company that designs, develops, and distributes ebooks and apps for children ages 3-8. In practice that means designing and building iOS and Android apps.
The natural audience is businesses launching or rebuilding an app. Related areas on their profile: Android, iOS, Mobile and Publishing. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.
KiteReaders is based in Santa Clara, California. Their site is kitereaders.com.
Things worth asking about: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
