Xcedex

Xcedex is a provider of software products and services which help organizations with P2V, V2V, V2C, and data center simplification. In practice that means building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Cloud Computing, GreenTech and Virtualization. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Xcedex is based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Their site is xcedex.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
