Expat Shield
Expat Shield offers a VPN service to access UK TV websites like BBC iPlayer from outside the UK
Overview
Expat Shield offers a VPN service to access UK TV websites like BBC iPlayer from outside the UK. The job it does: designing and building iOS and Android apps.
It makes the most sense for businesses launching or rebuilding an app. Alongside the main category they mention Media and Entertainment and Mobile Apps. As a mid-sized company team themselves (201 to 500 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best.
Expat Shield is based in Mountain View, California. Their site is watch-bbc-iplayer.com.
Things worth asking about: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
If you have worked with Expat Shield, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
