Focus

HeyFocus provides a Mac app to block distracting websites and enhance productivity. That is the short version of Focus. In practice that means designing and building iOS and Android apps.

Who is it for? Mostly businesses launching or rebuilding an app. They also list iOS, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Focus is based in Portland, Oregon. Their site is heyfocus.com.

Our checklist for this category: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
