Pardot is a SaaS-based marketing automation application enabling marketers to create, deploy and manage online promotion campaigns. Put simply, it is about turning site visitors and form fills into contacts you can actually follow up with.

It makes the most sense for marketing and sales teams. They also list Brand Marketing, Email Marketing, Lead Generation, Marketing Automation and Web Design, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.
