Penguix

Penguix provides Linux consulting, network systems design, web presence design, hardware design, software design, and hosting services. The job it does: assessing, monitoring and responding to security threats on your behalf.

The natural audience is companies without a full security team. Alongside the main category they mention Consulting, Hardware, Network Security, Web Design and Web Hosting. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Penguix is based in Bradenton, Florida. More on penguix.com.

Things worth asking about: response times, what is included in monitoring, and reporting. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with Penguix, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
