Demtech Voting Solutions

Demtech Voting provides the electronic pollbook, tallypoint ENR, and ballotDNA. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

Who is it for? Mostly companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Software Engineering. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Demtech Voting Solutions is based in New York, New York. Their site is demtechvoting.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
