Kite & Lightning

Virtual Reality Creative Development Studio. That is the short version of Kite & Lightning. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Gaming, Social and Virtual Reality. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Kite & Lightning is based in Los Angeles, California. More on kiteandlightning.la.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.

If you have worked with Kite & Lightning, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
