NEON Program

NEON Program gathers and provides open data and state-of-the-art infrastructure development services for researching ecological change. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

Who is it for? Mostly companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Environmental Engineering, Infrastructure and Natural Resources, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a mid-sized company team themselves (201 to 500 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best.

NEON Program is based in Boulder, Colorado and founded in 2006. You can read more at neonscience.org.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.

Every review on Revaw shows how it was verified, so if you know NEON Program well, your review carries weight here.
