Drop

Drop is a developer of augmented reality and VR software. In practice that means connecting machines, sensors and robots to software that controls or monitors them.

The natural audience is manufacturers and operators. Related areas on their profile: Hardware, Internet of Things and Smart Home. As a very small product team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Drop is based in Stanford, California. Their site is mydrop.co.

Things worth asking about: hardware compatibility, uptime, and support. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with Drop, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
