XSEDE

XSEDE is a single virtual system that scientists can use to interactively share computing resources, data and expertise. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

XSEDE is based in Urbana, Illinois. Their site is xsede.org.
