WorkOnward

A hyperlocal hiring platform for local shops and small businesses. That is the short version of WorkOnward. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

WorkOnward is based in New York, New York. Their site is workonward.com.

Before you commit, look at portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
