Watchful

Watchful is a website maintenance tool that backups, updates, and secures websites. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Small and Medium Businesses. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Watchful is based in Sussex, Wisconsin. More on watchful.net.

Before you commit, look at portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with Watchful, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
