Volunteer Software

Volunteer Software is a volunteer management software development firm for hospitals, senior corps programs, volunteer centers, and NGO's. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. Related areas on their profile: Software Engineering. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Volunteer Software is based in Missoula, Montana. Their site is volsoft.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
