Voiceriver

Voiceriver is an R&D firm that designs and develops applications and innovative technologies for text and voice communications. In practice that means designing and building iOS and Android apps.

Who is it for? Mostly businesses launching or rebuilding an app. Alongside the main category they mention Consulting, Mobile Apps, Telecommunications and Web Development. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Voiceriver is based in Tucson, Arizona and founded in 2004. You can read more at voiceriversites.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
