VentureGPS

VentureGPS is a vehicle tracking system that specializes in fleet management services. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. Related areas on their profile: GPS. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

VentureGPS is based in Orlando, Florida and founded in 1989. Their site is venturegps.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with VentureGPS, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
