Urban Explorer

Urban Explorer provides web GIS interactive data visualization software for economic and workforce development via the platform. In practice that means designing and building iOS and Android apps.

Who is it for? Mostly businesses launching or rebuilding an app. Alongside the main category they mention Big Data. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Urban Explorer is based in Arlington, Virginia. Their site is theurbanexplorer.com.

Before you commit, look at portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.

If you have worked with Urban Explorer, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
