Ulama

Automating approvals of construction permit applications. That is the short version of Ulama. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

Who is it for? Mostly companies with a specific process to automate. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Ulama is based in Brooklyn, New York and founded in 2023. Their site is ulama.tech.

Our checklist for this category: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with Ulama, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
