Transana

Transana offers software for transcription, management, and analysis of digital media and text data. In practice that means moving data between systems on a schedule without hand-built scripts.

The natural audience is data and ops teams. Related areas on their profile: Analytics and Data Management. As a small product team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Transana is based in Madison, Wisconsin. Their site is transana.com.

Our checklist for this category: connector coverage, sync frequency, and row-based pricing. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.

If you have worked with Transana, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
