Trackabeast

Trackabeast provides a cloud software platform for managing animal records, intake, medical history, foster care, donations, and volunteers. The job it does: designing and building iOS and Android apps.

It makes the most sense for businesses launching or rebuilding an app. They also list Veterinary, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Trackabeast is based in Berkeley, California. You can read more at trackabeast.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
