The Horde Project

The Horde Project is a technology company that will create custom communications software to manage email, contacts, and notes on a network. In practice that means managing your IT, from help desk to infrastructure, as an outside partner.

Who is it for? Mostly small and mid-sized companies. They also list Telecommunications, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

The Horde Project is based in Atlanta, Georgia and founded in 2010. Their site is horde.org.
