Systems West

Systems West has been providing merchants with the highest quality POS computer systems and support. Put simply, it is about ringing up sales in person and syncing them with inventory.

It makes the most sense for shops, restaurants and pop-ups. Alongside the main category they mention Point of Sale. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Systems West is based in San Diego, California. Their site is systemswest.com.

Things worth asking about: hardware, offline mode, and processing fees. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
