SurePayroll

SurePayroll provides online payroll services such as payroll tax services, accounting services and 401k plans for SMEs. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Bookkeeping and Payroll and Human Resources, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a mid-sized company team themselves (201 to 500 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best.

SurePayroll is based in Glenview, Illinois and around since 2000. More on surepayroll.com.

Before you commit, look at portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
