StreamStar

StreamStar is a manufacturer of software and hardware solutions for the streaming video industry. In practice that means running websites, apps and data on servers you do not have to maintain.

Who is it for? Mostly developers and businesses of every size. Alongside the main category they mention Cloud Computing, Video, Video Streaming and Web Hosting. As a very small product team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

StreamStar is based in Redwood City, California. You can read more at streamstar.com.

Things worth asking about: pricing predictability, support quality, and migration help. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
