StepWare

StepWare is a powerful instructional web application designed to assess, improve and monitor reading speed, fluency and comprehension. In practice that means solving a specific business problem with software.

Who is it for? Mostly teams in its space. Alongside the main category they mention Education. As a very small product team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

StepWare is based in Grand Junction, Colorado and founded in 1997. You can read more at stepware.com.

Things worth asking about: pricing, support, and how it fits with the tools you already use. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
