Steel Shire Design

Steel Shire Design is a software solution company that offers project, construction, and database management services. In practice that means building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. Related areas on their profile: Project Management. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Steel Shire Design is based in Montgomery, Minnesota. Their site is steelshiredesign.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
