Source code

Source Code delivers web design, development, custom scripts, WordPress plugins, and photography services. Put simply, it is about designing and building websites and web apps.

Who is it for? Mostly companies that need a site that works and ranks. They also list Graphic Design, Photography, Web Design and Web Development, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Source code is based in Albany, Oregon. Their site is sourcecode-web.com.

Our checklist for this category: portfolio, CMS choice, and who maintains it afterwards. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
