Skilled

Skilled is a custom software development company. We help job seekers get hired, create meaningful roles for mentors, evaluate candidates for employers, and assess students' job-readiness. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

Who is it for? Mostly companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Employment, Higher Education, Human Resources, Professional Networking and Professional Services, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Skilled is based in Los Angeles, California and founded in 2016. Their site is skilledinc.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with Skilled, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
