Simple Machines Forum

Simple Machines Forum is free, professional-grade software that allows you to set up your online community within minutes. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Simple Machines Forum is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. More on simplemachines.org.

Our checklist for this category: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
