Shepherd Lock

Shepherd Lock is a mobile-based application platform that specializes in the internet of things. Put simply, it is about connecting machines, sensors and robots to software that controls or monitors them.

Who is it for? Mostly manufacturers and operators. They also list Internet of Things and Smart Home, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Shepherd Lock is based in Michigan, North Dakota. You can read more at shepherdlock.com.

Things worth asking about: hardware compatibility, uptime, and support. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
