Scout Space

Scout is developing orbital products and services to enable a new era of space safety, transparency, and improved Space Domain Awareness. In practice that means building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

Who is it for? Mostly companies with a specific process to automate. Related areas on their profile: Aerospace, Cloud Computing, Geospatial, Satellite Communication and Space Travel. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Scout Space is based in Reston, Virginia. You can read more at scout.space.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.

If you have worked with Scout Space, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
